Terms of Service
Last updated: February 16, 2026
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using DoulaBridge ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform. DoulaBridge is operated by DoulaBridge ("we," "us," or "our").
What DoulaBridge Is
DoulaBridge is an online marketplace that connects families seeking doula support with independent doula professionals. We provide a platform for doulas to list their services and for families to discover and connect with doulas in their area.
DoulaBridge is not a doula service provider. We do not employ doulas, provide doula care, or guarantee the quality of any doula's services. All doulas on the Platform are independent professionals. Any arrangement you make with a doula is solely between you and that doula.
Accounts and Registration
To use certain features of DoulaBridge, you must create an account using Google sign-in or email magic link. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.
Doula Listings
If you are a doula listing your services on DoulaBridge, you agree to the following:
- All information on your profile, including your bio, certifications, specialties, and service areas, must be accurate and up to date.
- You are solely responsible for the services you provide to clients you connect with through the Platform.
- You will maintain any licenses, certifications, or insurance required by your jurisdiction to practice as a doula.
- You will not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or the scope of services you offer.
- You understand that your profile information, including your name, photo, bio, specialties, and general service area, will be publicly visible to anyone browsing the Platform.
Subscriptions and Payments
Doulas may subscribe to a paid plan to list their profiles on the Platform. Subscription details, including pricing and features, are displayed at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You can manage your subscription, update payment methods, or cancel at any time through your dashboard or the Stripe customer portal.
- If you cancel your subscription, your profile will remain visible until the end of your current billing period, after which it will be removed from search results.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
Families and Platform Users
If you are using DoulaBridge to find a doula, you understand that:
- Doula profiles are created and maintained by the doulas themselves. We do not independently verify all claims made in doula profiles.
- Any hiring decision, contract, or payment arrangement you make with a doula is between you and the doula. DoulaBridge is not a party to these arrangements.
- You should conduct your own due diligence, including verifying credentials and checking references, before engaging a doula's services.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform without our written permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems.
- Use the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable law.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation or infrastructure.
Intellectual Property
The DoulaBridge name, logo, website design, and original content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials without written permission.
Content you post on the Platform (such as your doula profile) remains yours. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoulaBridge and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to:
- The quality, safety, or outcome of doula services obtained through the Platform.
- Disputes between families and doulas.
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits.
- Service interruptions, errors, or security breaches.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DoulaBridge and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between you and DoulaBridge, we encourage you to contact us first at support@doulabridge.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, both parties agree to resolve it through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as limitation of liability and indemnification) will continue to apply.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of DoulaBridge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
