Last updated: February 16, 2026

Introduction

DoulaBridge ("we," "us," or "our") operates a marketplace platform that connects families with doulas. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services at doulabridge.com (the "Platform").

By using DoulaBridge, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account using Google sign-in or email magic link, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided by Google). Doulas who create profiles also provide professional details including their bio, doula types, certifications, service areas, languages spoken, and contact information.

Location Data

We collect location information to power our doula search feature. For families, this includes the city or zip code you enter when searching. For doulas, this includes the service area and address information you provide on your profile. We use geographic coordinates to calculate distances and show relevant search results.

Payment Information

Doula subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data in compliance with PCI DSS standards. We receive and store only a record of your subscription status, plan type, and transaction history.

Usage Information

We automatically collect standard usage data when you visit the Platform, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs. This helps us understand how people use DoulaBridge and improve the experience.

How We Use Your Information

  • Marketplace functionality: Displaying doula profiles in search results, matching families with doulas based on location and doula type, and facilitating connections between users.
  • Account management: Authenticating your identity, managing your profile, and processing subscription payments.
  • Communication: Sending you transactional emails about your account, subscription status, and important Platform updates.
  • Platform improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to improve features, fix issues, and develop new functionality.
  • Safety and compliance: Detecting fraud, enforcing our Terms of Service, and complying with legal obligations.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect or receive your data:

  • Google OAuth: For account authentication. When you sign in with Google, their privacy policy governs the data they collect during the sign-in process.
  • Stripe: For payment processing. Stripe collects and processes payment information under their own privacy policy and PCI DSS compliance standards.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers: We use cloud hosting services to run the Platform. These providers may process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. These are necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the Platform. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud prevention purposes. Doula profiles are removed from search results immediately upon account deletion or subscription cancellation.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your dashboard or by contacting us.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data and account.
  • Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@doulabridge.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication protocols, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

DoulaBridge is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of DoulaBridge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
